1. Description of Service
PlantID is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to assist in the identification of plants and fungi from photographs. The service is provided for educational and research purposes only.
2. AI Disclaimer — Important
⚠️ PlantID uses AI models that may produce incorrect identifications. Results are approximate and should never be used as the sole basis for decisions that could affect human health, safety, or the environment.
- AI identification results are not professional botanical or mycological advice.
- PlantID's models have limitations and may misidentify species, particularly in regions or conditions outside their training data.
- Never consume any plant or mushroom based solely on this app. Many toxic species are visually similar to edible ones. Always consult a qualified expert before foraging.
- Confidence scores shown in results reflect model probability, not guaranteed accuracy.
- PlantID is not responsible for any harm, injury, illness, or loss resulting from reliance on AI-generated identifications.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use PlantID only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use the app to make decisions that could endanger human health or safety.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or exploit the AI models or backend infrastructure.
- Use automated scripts or bots to submit identification requests.
- Share, resell, or commercially exploit the identification results without permission.
- Submit images that contain illegal content.
4. Free and Premium Plans
- The free plan includes 15 identifications per month, which reset on the 1st of each month.
- Anonymous users (no account) receive 5 total identifications.
- The premium plan provides unlimited identifications and is billed monthly or annually through Google Play Billing.
- Subscription management (cancellation, refunds) is handled by Google Play according to Google's policies.
- We reserve the right to change plan pricing with reasonable advance notice.
5. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use PlantID.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
6. Intellectual Property
The PlantID app, its AI models, interface, and content are owned by PlantID and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PlantID and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or financial loss arising from use of the app or reliance on its AI-generated results.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted service.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with or without notice.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where PlantID operates.

PlantID es una aplicación móvil que utiliza inteligencia artificial (IA) para asistir en la identificación de plantas y hongos a partir de fotografías. El servicio se provee únicamente con fines educativos y de investigación.
2. Aviso sobre IA — Importante
⚠️ PlantID usa modelos de IA que pueden producir identificaciones incorrectas. Los resultados son aproximados y nunca deben usarse como única base para decisiones que puedan afectar la salud humana, la seguridad o el medioambiente.
- Los resultados de identificación por IA no constituyen asesoramiento botánico ni micológico profesional.
- Los modelos de PlantID tienen limitaciones y pueden identificar erróneamente especies, especialmente en regiones o condiciones fuera de sus datos de entrenamiento.
- Nunca consumas ninguna planta u hongo basándote únicamente en esta app. Muchas especies tóxicas son visualmente similares a las comestibles. Consultá siempre a un experto calificado antes de cosechar.
- Los porcentajes de confianza mostrados reflejan la probabilidad del modelo, no una precisión garantizada.
- PlantID no es responsable de ningún daño, lesión, enfermedad o pérdida resultante del uso de identificaciones generadas por IA.
3. Uso aceptable
Acordás usar PlantID solo para fines lícitos. No podés:
- Usar la app para tomar decisiones que puedan poner en riesgo la salud o seguridad humana.
- Intentar realizar ingeniería inversa, copiar o explotar los modelos de IA o la infraestructura del backend.
- Usar scripts automatizados o bots para enviar solicitudes de identificación.
- Compartir, revender o explotar comercialmente los resultados de identificación sin permiso.
- Enviar imágenes con contenido ilegal.
4. Planes gratuito y premium
- El plan gratuito incluye 15 identificaciones por mes, que se reinician el 1° de cada mes.
- Los usuarios anónimos (sin cuenta) reciben 5 identificaciones en total.
- El plan premium ofrece identificaciones ilimitadas y se factura mensual o anualmente a través de Google Play Billing.
- La gestión de suscripciones (cancelación, reembolsos) la maneja Google Play según las políticas de Google.
- Nos reservamos el derecho de cambiar los precios de los planes con aviso previo razonable.
5. Responsabilidades de la cuenta
- Sos responsable de mantener la seguridad de las credenciales de tu cuenta.
- Debés proporcionar información precisa al crear una cuenta.
- Debés tener al menos 13 años para usar PlantID.
- Sos responsable de toda la actividad que ocurra bajo tu cuenta.
6. Propiedad intelectual
La app PlantID, sus modelos de IA, interfaz y contenido son propiedad de PlantID y están protegidos por las leyes de propiedad intelectual. Se te otorga una licencia limitada, no exclusiva e intransferible para usar la app con fines personales y no comerciales.
7. Limitación de responsabilidad
En la máxima medida permitida por la ley aplicable, PlantID y sus desarrolladores no serán responsables de ningún daño indirecto, incidental, especial, emergente o punitivo, incluyendo lesiones personales, daños materiales o pérdidas económicas derivadas del uso de la app o de la confianza en los resultados generados por IA.
La app se provee "tal cual" sin garantías de ningún tipo, expresas o implícitas, incluyendo precisión, idoneidad para un fin particular o servicio ininterrumpido.
8. Disponibilidad del servicio
Nos esforzamos por mantener la disponibilidad del servicio, pero no garantizamos acceso ininterrumpido. Podemos modificar, suspender o discontinuar funciones en cualquier momento con o sin previo aviso.
9. Cambios en estos términos
Podemos actualizar estos Términos de Servicio periódicamente. El uso continuado de la app después de publicar los cambios constituye la aceptación de los términos actualizados. Los cambios significativos se comunicarán a través de la app o por email.
10. Ley aplicable
Estos términos se rigen por la ley aplicable. Cualquier disputa se resolverá de acuerdo con las leyes de la jurisdicción donde opera PlantID.
